Finnair also said the seasonal Xi’an route returns with three weekly A330 flights starting on 30 March. Hanoi passenger aircraft service is also being upgraded with an A340 serving the route this summer three times per week, starting 2 June. On Hong Kong route additional A340 flights will bring the total number of weekly frequencies served with passenger aircraft up to 7-9, complementing the freighter service operated with MD11F aircraft three times per week.

Connections between North America will be enhanced with three weekly flights to Toronto, starting 1 June. This route will now be served with A330, which improves the cargo capacity compared to previous years’ B757 flights. Weekly New York freighter service is being suspended, but daily flights with passenger aircraft between New York and Helsinki continue to serve Finnair’s cargo customers on this trade lane.

Finnair Cargo’s second hub, Brussels, will be served with two weekly MD11F freighter rotations and in addition a weekly A340 passenger aircraft service is flown weekly, as well as four daily narrowbody flights, connecting to Finnair’s over 90 weekly flights between Helsinki and 13 Asian cargo gateways.
