Singapore Airlines (SIA) low cost,long haul subsidiary, Scoot, will bethe beneficiary of an SIA order for20 B787 Dreamliners back in 2006,which it later decided will go toScoot. The order comprises 10 B787-8 Dreamliners and 10 larger B787-9s. The destinations to be servedby the first Dreamliner are yet to beconfirmed, but by mid-2015 all Scootflights are expected to be operatedby B787s. The airline’s current fleet ofB777-200s will be progressively retiredas the B787s are delivered. SingaporeAirlines Cargo manages the bellycapacity of the Scoot fleet.
