Robert van de Weg has left Cargolux after 14 years, “due to differences with the Board of Directors regarding Cargolux’s strategy for the future.” It is understood that van de Weg opposes aspects of the Luxembourg government’s decision to sell 35 per cent state-held shares in Cargolux to the Chinese investor, specifically because it concedes major influence in operational and strategic matters to HNCA.
