Qatar Airways has announced it will be extending its footprint in the US with a new non-stop service commencing on 1 July 2014 to its seventh gateway – Dallas/ Fort Worth (DFW).

Qatar Airways has announced it will be extending its footprint in the US with a new non-stop service commencing on 1 July 2014 to its seventh gateway – Dallas/ Fort Worth (DFW). The destination will become Qatar Airways’ second route in Texas; the airline currently operates to Houston non-stop daily from Doha. The route will be operated with B777-200LR aircraft.

Currently flying to four destinations in the United States – New York, Washington DC, Chicago, and Houston – the airline will nearly double its footprint in the country with the addition of three new routes in 2014: Philadelphia (2 April), Miami (10 June) and Dallas/ Fort Worth (1 July).

Over the next few weeks and months, Qatar’s network will grow further with Hangzhou, China (20 December), Sharjah and Dubai World Central, both in the UAE (1 March), Philadelphia, USA (2 April), Sabiha Gökçen Airport, Turkey (22 May), Edinburgh, Scotland (28 May) and Miami, US (10 June).
