New O’Hare facility for DHL Forwarding
DHL Global Forwarding recently broke ground on a new US$35 million facility at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

DHL Global Forwarding recently broke ground on a new US$35 million facility at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The facility, expected to be completed by November 2014 includes 4,923 sqm office space and 39,300 sqm of warehousing.
The location will be a bonded Container Freight Station (CFS), designated by carriers to receive cargo to be loaded into containers and will also be classified as a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ). The facility will also undergo Technology Asset Protection Association (TAPA-A) certification and DHL Global Forwarding will also establish the facility as a Life Science Cold Chain Certified Competency Center for shipping of pharmaceutical, biotech and medical devices that need to be in a temperature controlled environment.
