Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport has seen its passenger numbers rise 24 per cent while cargo volumes grow by 23 per cent to 55,782 tonnes in October 2013, compared to a year earlier as passenger traffic also grew by a similar amount, at 24 per cent year-on-year.

Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport has seen its passenger numbers rise 24 per cent while cargo volumes grow by 23 per cent to 55,782 tonnes in October 2013, compared to a year earlier as passenger traffic also grew by a similar amount, at 24 per cent year-on-year. Domestic cargo volumes comprising 21,220 tonnes were largely behind this growth, up 41 per cent for the period year-on-year. International cargo volumes were up 14 per cent to 34,562 tonnes. Aircraft movements increased 8.4 per cent to 24,825 in October, of which domestic grew nearly 10 per cent, while international grew almost five per cent.
