SIA returns to Athens

The airline took the difficult decision to stop the flights back in October 2012 after a period of challenging operating conditions.

SIA has announced that it will resume flights to Athens for the 2014 summer season commencing on June 9th until October 9th. There will be two flights per week operating B777-200ERs. The flight SQ382 will depart Singapore at 2.05 am, arriving in Athens at 8.30 am. The return SQ381 will depart at 1300h arriving at 4.55 the following day. The airline took the difficult decision to stop the flights back in October 2012 after a period of challenging operating conditions. 

Alexis Sioris, head of cargo at Athens International Airport expressed delight at this turn of events. “All members of the cargo community here have been working hard to maintain our first class handling and processing skills in the sure knowledge that the market would begin to improve. We are all looking forward to seeing SIA here again, the return of confidence in Greek tourism and business is most welcome as well as the additional cargo capacity.”
