Fourteen air cargo and logistics companies in Singapore are going down the digital route when it comes to airfreight documentation processes.
They have adopted a new [email protected] solutions system that promotes paperless documentation across the freight and logistics supply chain.
This is part of the Singapore government’s efforts to raise efficiency in Singapore’s air cargo supply chain, and achieve cost savings for all stakeholders in the supply chain – shippers, freight forwarders, grounding handling agents and airlines. The move is part of a global industry push to get more air cargo carriers and freight forwarders to adopt e-freight processes.
The [email protected] solutions system was developed by a consortia – comprising Innosys Pte Ltd, Kewill Pte Led and vCargo Cloud Pte Ltd – last year. The companies were appointed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA).
