WACO celebrates 40 years

Global freight network sets its sights on expansion and appoints a new African member at its AGM.

Delegates from 60 countries heard that recent research pointed to a range of significant opportunities for independents, in a keynote speech during the four day event in Mauritius marking the network’s 40th anniversary.

“The future is bright for independent freight forwarders as our network celebrates its fifth decade,” said Richard Charles WACO-System Executive Director.

“Opportunities abound, prospects in emerging markets are strong, and our members are perfectly placed to deliver flexible global logistics solutions with local expertise.

“We are delighted to be expanding our African footprint with the appointment of Creseada in the important Nigerian market, and will be announcing further new country members soon.” he continued.
