Appointment lauded by A4A and Air Line Pilots Association International

The US Senate has confirmed Michael Huerta as Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) administrator for a five-year term. Huerta had been appointed acting administrator on December 5, 2011. He had previously been deputy FAA administrator since June 2010.

The appointment has been lauded by Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for leading US airlines as well as the Air Line Pilots Association International.
