TNT and United Parcel Service (UPS) have sent its response to the European Commission (EC) prior to securing the approval for the proposed merger. On October 19, TNT and UPS had received the EC’s objections that had pointed out that the tie-up would reduce competition in the express market and affect consumers.

In the response, UPS and TNT have suggested some remedies that include the “sale of business activities and assets,” as well as “granting access to air capabilities”.
