Saudia Cargo had a record month in November. In fact, its cargo volumes in October too were high making 2012 a record year for Saudia Cargo with a total growth in revenue of 20 per cent. Results for January-November 2012 has pointed out that the carrier transported 471000 tons , a growth of 19 per cent compared to the last year.

According to Fahad Hammad, chief executive of Saudia Cargo, it was an extraordinary achievement for the carrier’s cargo division – especially when the global air cargo industry has been struggling because of the recessionary trends — with the main contributors to the growth being exports from Europe, East Africa and the UAE.
