Schiphol to start equine handling centre
The centre will also have a customs clearance facility for horses going into Europe

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will be starting a secondary equine-handling centre in December. Developed in a joint venture between Aviapartner and European Cargo Services, the facility will initially handle horses but will also handle live animals later.
The facilities include 24 horse stalls, a quarantine areas and direct access to a cargo ramp. To handle the horses, there will be experienced grooms. In addition, the centre will also have a Border Inspection Post for Customs clearance of horses into Europe, according to a press release.
