UK’s fourth-largest cargo airport, Manchester Airport, has received $160 million outline-planning approval for the setting up of the World Logistics Hub that is expected to regenerate growth of the airfreight market. The World Logistics Hub forms part of Manchester’s Airport City scheme that will deliver up to 500,000 sq meters of new business space over the next 10 to 15 years. The plan is to create up to 130,000 square meters of new logistics space and will more than triple the area of Manchester Airport’s World Freight Terminal.
