The Davies Commission that is looking into aviation expansion at Heathrow will be told that the airport would have to add a third, not a fourth, runway, if it wanted to retain its position as the world’s top international passenger hub.

After the British government appointed the Airports Commission inquiry committee, chaired by Sir Howard Davies, Heathrow began a campaign to put forth the point that Britain would lose billions of pounds in trade if it failed to allow investment in a hub airport.
