UPS expands healthcare network with new facilities

Facilities will cater to Asia, the fastest-growing healthcare market

UPS has opened three state-of-the-art global healthcare distribution facilities designed for pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies – bringing the number of such facilities around the world to 36 — in the Asia Pacific region with two in China, Hangzhou and Shanghai, and one in Sydney, Australia. These nearly 35,000 sq m of healthcare-compliant facilities, along with the existing healthcare facility in Singapore, will cater to the distribution demands of healthcare manufacturers in the Asia Pacific region.

According to Bill Hook, vice-president, global strategy, UPS Healthcare Logistics, Asia was UPS’ fastest-growing market for healthcare and investments would continue in the region.
