Memphis sees rise in cargo

Last year the airport saw no growth in cargo traffic

Airports Council International infrastructure Larry Cox Memphis and Shelby County Airport Authority Memphis International Airport top 100 cargo airports

Memphis International Airport, ranked No 2 on the Airports Council International’s list of the top 100 cargo airports by tonnage, saw a rise of 2.75 per cent this year. In 2011, the airport saw flat growth when 3.91 million tonnes of cargo was handled.

Larry Cox, president and CEO of the Memphis and Shelby County Airport Authority maintained that the airport continued to invest in infrastructure for current and future operations for both air cargo and passenger services.
