FedEx’s new hub at Singapore

The hub will reduce handling times from two hours to 10 minutes

FedEx has launched a $78.9 million hub in the air cargo express hub at Changi Airport in Singapore.The hub will consolidate air, ground and customs clearance operations – shipments will now be transported, cleared and sent from aircraft to vehicle through one location reducing the handling time from two hours to 10 minutes.  The 282,700 sq ft facility is double the size of its previous three Singapore facilities put together. The Singapore hub will be FedEx’s South Pacific Regional Hub and acts as the trans-shipment point for Asia Pacific shipments in and out of Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
