Airbus has plans to start manufacturing from Asia. It has an assembly plant for A 320s at Tianjin in China. Tom Enders, chief executive of EADS, the parent of Airbus, said that an Eurocentric production strategy, would be a “mistake”, according to The Guardian. Enders said “that the fire burns much stronger” in would-be engineers in developing markets. “The times have gone that young Indonesians, Chinese would come to Europe. We have to go there now,” he said.
