With airfreight and ocean-freight revenues dropping, UTi Worldwide saw its Q2 earnings falling by 17 per cent. According to UTi chief executive Eric W. Kirchner, one of the major reasons for the fall was due to clients becoming more careful in their freight and logistics spending because of “the anemic global economy and weak freight environment”.
