Etihad Airways (EY) is on the lookout for commercial partnerships with South America-based carriers, according to president and chief executive James Hogan. EY will be launching daily nonstop A340-600 flights between Abu Dhabi and Sao Paulo from June 1, 2013. The move will boost trade between the Gulf nations and Brazil, which was $25 billion in 2011 and is forecast to grow by 10-15 per cent in 2012, according to the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.
