Ethiopian Airlines (ET) will become the first African airline to take delivery of its first Boeing 777 freighter on September 19. Of the six 777Fs it ordered in October 2011, the carrier will receive its second freighter in October while the remaining will join the fleet in 2014. ET’s first 777F will transport flowers, fruits and vegetables on longer routes, according to chief executive Tewolde Gebre Mariam.
