Ethiopian Airlines all set to launch Africa’s first B777F

Ethiopian Airlines has become the first African nation to operate the B777 freighter. According to chief executive Tewolde Gebremariam, the B777F will be deployed on “longer routes for carriage of flowers, fruits and vegetables with the aim of expanding and improving the cargo service” to support national fast-growing exports. The B777 has joined Ethiopian Cargo’s fleet of six dedicated freighters that has an expanding network of 15 destinations in Africa, seven in the Gulf and two in Europe.
