September 13, 2012
FedEx and UPS have been granted licenses by China’s National Post Office to operate in the domestic express market. Both the integrators have been assigned specific cities to operate in. While FedEx has been permitted to operate in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Dalian, Zhengzhou and Chengdu, UPS has been given the cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, and Xi’an. Mail will, however, be handled by Chinese domestic express providers.
