Global air cargo traffic crept up slightly in May and June after the contraction in the first half of 2012, according to figures from Airports Council International (ACI). The 1.3 per cent year-on-year global volume gains recorded at airports in May were followed by 1 per cent growth in June.

The June figures saw higher throughput at hubs in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, but top US hubs featured negative growth along with a “stagnant” European domestic demand.
