SIA’s weekly freighter to South America
The Brazilian market’s potential will be tapped with the service
August 18, 2012
Singapore Airlines (SIA) Cargo has launched its first weekly freighter service to South America. The B 747-400 service to Sao Paulo stops in Dallas-Fort Worth, Brussels and Sharjah on the return route. The new service will complement the belly capacity on Singapore Airlines’ thrice-weekly passenger flights between Singapore, Barcelona and Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport. The SIA Cargo service comes on the heels of the joint freighter service between Singapore and Shanghai launched in late June by SIA and China Cargo Airlines.
