Air Canada outsources ULD supply

CHEP’s total ULD pool will now be more than 53,000 units

Air Canada has selected CHEP Aerospace Solutions to supply and manage its fleet of ULDs (Unit Load Devices). CHEP Aerospace Solutions will acquire Air Canada’s existing fleet of more than 8,000 airline containers and pallets and migrate them into its shared ULD fleet over time, taking CHEP’s total ULD pool to more than 53,000 units. According to Air Canada vice president, cargo, Lise-Marie Turpin, the decision to partner with CHEP came after a detailed analysis that pointed to the fact that CHEP was “the best provider to deliver cost-savings and efficiencies”.
