Schiphol Cargo —  the cargo arm of Schiphol airport —  with the International Air Transport Association (IATA)  and China’s Central Customs Department have set 1 October as the target date for the first e-freight shipments between China and Amsterdam. The event will be marked by a simultaneous exchange of e-freight shipments of mooncakes from China and Dutch flowers.

The date and exchange of mooncakes and flowers was decided after a visit to Schiphol by a high-ranking Chinese Customs delegation who wanted to see e-freight in action and explore collaboration with Schiphol Cargo to introduce paperless airfreight.
