ANA, JAL see rise in cargo figures

Tonnages have grown for both Japanese carriers

Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL) have both seen rise in cargo volumes in May.  ANA’s international cargo volumes grew for the fourth consecutive month in May on a year-over-year basis, rising 7.1 per cent to 43,591 tons. The carrier’s domestic cargo volume also grew for the first time in three months in May on a year-over-year basis, increasing 5.6 percent to 36,260 tons.

JAL’s international cargo volume too, grew year-over-year for the fourth successive month in May, rising 4.3 per cent to 19,826 tons while domestic cargo volume rose for the second straight month in May year-over-year, increasing 10.2 per cent to 30,811 tons.
