The three-day strike called by Swissport cargo handlers at London’s Heathrow Airport over pay, scheduled to begin on June 27, has been called off after talks between Swissport and Unite union officials. That brought relief to Swissport’s main customers, Korean Air and Singapore Air. In fact, the three-day strike was the first of two and Swissport had warned airport authorities that there could be delays and that imports and exports of perishables would be affected.
