Cargo Airlines Ltd (CAL) could be acquiring Cyprus Airways, according to Globes, a business website, at the latter’s request. The report points out that CAL makes two weekly flights to Cyprus en route to other European destinations. Incidentally, Triple Five, a Canadian conglomerate had shown interest in acquiring a majority stake in Cyprus Airways.
CAL is a Tel Aviv-based cargo airline and operates scheduled cargo flights to Europe and the rest of the world. The news report states that CAL did not comment about the acquisition news brushing it aside as a media rumour.
