Ningxia Cargo first carrier based in western China

China’s Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC) is expected to give the go-head for the launch of the first cargo carrier to be based in the west of the country. Ningxia Cargo Airlines, which has a registered capital of CNY120 million (US$18.99 million), has a B737 and B747 freighters and plans to use pilots and MRO services of Ankara-based Turkish Orex Orbit Express Airlines.

The new cargo carrier, based in the Ningxia Autonomous Region is a joint venture between Shanghai Chongda International Freight Co., which has a 40 per cent  holding,  Shan’xi Tongyang Investment Management which has a 25 per cent stake and other minority shareholders.
