SOUTH KOREA: Korean Air begins new maindeck service to Spain

Korean Air Cargo has begun operating a freighter flight utilising B747-400F equipment, twice a week to Zaragoza, Spain from early July.

Korean Air Cargo has begun operating a freighter flight utilising B747-400F equipment, twice a week to Zaragoza, Spain from early July. This is the third new route by Korean this year, including scheduled cargo flights to St Petersburg in March and a new transatlantic route from Incheon to New York and Brussels.

Zaragoza, located some 250km from Barcelona, is the fifth largest city in Spain in terms of population with access to nearby cities such as Madrid and Barcelona via rail, road, inland transportation. The main cargo source will be automotive parts, textiles and clothing with well-known fashion brand Zara having a warehouse in Zaragoza. The city also has significant automotive parts manufacturing companies.
