DB Schenker has announced it will eliminate its US air fleet and shut down its BAX Global cargo hub in Ohio because of a drop in demand for air freight. Schenker said it will continue to operate in North America but no longer fly its own planes. It has invested approximately €1 million in the centre, which will provide a full range of supply chain solutions, including warehousing services, inventory, labeling, barcoding, packing pouches, blisters, vendor management as well as domestic and cross-border distribution.
