AMERICAS: Southern Air operates B747 freighter for Saudi

Southern Air Holdings has announced the an agreement with Saudi Airlines Cargo to operate one Boeing 747 freighter on behalf of Saudi Cargo on an ACMI basis (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance).

Southern Air Holdings has announced the an agreement with Saudi Airlines Cargo to operate one Boeing 747 freighter on behalf of Saudi Cargo on an ACMI basis (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance). The aircraft began operation in July and carries the Saudi Cargo livery.

Separately, Southern announced that it has opened a new office in Cologne, Germany to serve the German and Western Europe air freight sectors. The office will be led by Oliver Gritz, who joined Southern Air in April as managing director, Europe. Southern Air currently operates a fleet of 13 B747 and two B777 freighter aircraft.
