South Korea’s Asiana Airlines has announced plans to launch freighter flights between Portland and Seoul in September. The service will see B747 freighters flying three times a week between Portland International Airport and Seoul’s Incheon International Airport. Nike, Intel, Oracle and other companies are expected to ship goods on the service, which will also carry berries and other agricultural products from the Pacific Northwest. Asiana currently flies freighters to other US destinations including: Seattle, Anchorage, San Francisco and Los Angeles on the West Coast, and to Chicago, New York and Atlanta.
