Oman Air has announced that it is to expand cargo trucking services from this month and has established Pan-European Trucking in partnership with Jan de Rijk Logistics. Pan-European Trucking will provide road feeder services covering Oman Air’s major European gateways of London Heathrow, Paris Charles De Gaulle, Milan Malpensa, Munich and Frankfurt, with Zurich following later in the year. Jan de Rijk Logistics will also provide offline handling services across Europe for Oman Air. Oman Air’s chief commercial officer, Abdulrazaq al Raisi, announced the new service saying: “We are delighted to be working with the highly experienced specialists at Jan de Rijk Logistics to provide cargo trucking services in Europe. Pan-European Trucking will complement our recently launched Pan-GCC trucking services and we are confident that it will prove to be a vital element in the expansion of the Oman Air Group.” He added that revenue was up 40 per cent increase, including a 238 per cent increase in cargo revenues, with a total of 28,600 tonnes being carried. The launch of Pan-European Trucking comes just one month after Oman Air’s Pan-GCC Custom-Bonded trucking service was unveiled. The Pan-GCC service is operated in partnership with Able Logistics Group (Oman) and links Muscat and Salalah in Oman with other Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries.
