DHL opens â‚¬5.5 million Casablanca gateway
DHL has opened a â‚¬5.5 million DHL Express gateway in Casablanca, Morocco. Located at Mohammed V International Airport, the 6,800 sqm gateway is DHL's first facility of such scale in the country.

DHL has opened a €5.5 million DHL Express gateway in Casablanca, Morocco. Located at Mohammed V International Airport, the 6,800 sqm gateway is DHL’s first facility of such scale in the country. Equipped with a cold chain facility and a dedicated strategic parts center, the DHL Express Casablanca gateway is set to provide greater connections between Morocco and Europe, through a daily overnight flight to and from Paris’ Charles de Gaulle International Airport.
Operating 24/7, the DHL Express Casablanca gateway boosts of a warehouse space of 3,455 sqm and is fully compliant with TAPA security guidelines. It is furnished with a state-of-the-art security system, including two X-Ray machines, full-access control system and over 30 closed circuit TV units. Equipped with eight full-size unit loading device (ULD) sorting positions, the facility has the capacity to sort conveyable shipments to a peak capacity of up to 4,000 shipments per day.

We have seen the trade between the EU and Morocco growing steadily over the last few years.
