United Continental Holdings have announced the launch of daily nonstop B737-800 service between Hong Kong and Tokyo, Japan effective 31 October 2011, subject to government approval. The new service, will be the first expansion of the new United’s operations in Hong Kong since the merger in 2010. “This new service to Tokyo marks a significant milestone for the new United as we further strengthen our extensive US network for customers in Hong Kong,” said James Mueller, United’s vice president for Asia/Pacific.
