LAN CARGO (LC), the cargo suLufthansa Cargo has launched the live operation the ICS solution by DAKOSY, a Hamburg-based software company, in order to comply with the EU Entry Summary Declaration requirements for Germany, Austria, England and the Netherlands. “The first point of entry of our aircrafts in EU is critical. Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and England are the first points of entry for 90 per cent of our flights,” said Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt, director Global Handling Processes at Lufthansa Cargo. The required information is extracted from the airway bill data in the IATA CIMP (Cargo Interchange Message Procedure) format, converted into the corresponding ICS notifications and timely submitted to the respective national customs authorities.
