SkyTeam global airline alliance has appointed Michael Wisbrun as managing director, replacing Marie-Joseph Male effective 01 June. Male, the first managing director of SkyTeam, set up the central office in 2009 but has decided not to extend his contract. Based in the central office in Amsterdam, Wisbrun, a former KLM Cargo chief, will be responsible for implementing the future strategic plan as determined by the SkyTeam Board. SkyTeam also has announced the appointment of Su Liang, a senior executive from China Southern as deputy managing director effective 1 June.
