Hong Kong Airlines has signed a deal with Boeing to expand its fleet with the purchase of 38 aircraft, including six 777 Freighters, 30 787-9s and two 787-8 VIP airplanes. In 2010, Hong Kong Airlines has taken delivery of three B737-300 converted freighters. To complement the company’s strategic goal in developing cargo into a major business unit Hong Kong Airlines has ordered three A330-200F freighters, after the first launched in September, the second will be take off in late October 2010, to serve the long-haul freighter service covering European and American markets.
