Citing not only the growth of the German economy, but its ideal position, the German airport of Dusseldorf said it has started the year well with a 10 per cent January and February increase over 2010. ¡°The upwards trend clearly reflects the return to health of the German economy, but the convenience and position of Dusseldorf plays an important role,¡± the airport said. Air China started its three times a week schedule from 27 March, operating an A330-300 with around 16 tonnes belly capacity and Air Berlin, a key carrier at the airport, is also increasing its capacity for the summer schedule. Dusseldorf airport also noted that road feeder volumes have also been increasing.
