Global logistics company, Agility, has recently opened a branch office in Vietnam’s Vung Tau and relocated its Hanoi office to a new, larger facility as part of what it says is the company’s ongoing expansion in Vietnam. At the new Agility office in Vung Tau, customers can access a wide-range of logistics services catering to the specific needs of retail, hi-tech and oil and gas markets. The main focus will be on logistics support to the oil and gas industry via trade lane management, customs clearance charters, material management, export compliance analysis, rig management and other related supply chain management solutions. “These new developments support our expansion plans in Vietnam and are another step forward in our strategy of establishing a logistics network across Vietnam to support our customers in this emerging market,” said Mike Gildea, Agility’s CEO of South East Asia. “Vung Tau is an ideal location due to the strong growth of the offshore oil and gas sector, where crude oil and natural gas exploitation activities contribute a significant export volume. This new branch will support the global upstream and downstream network and will connect the region with other major oil and gas centers in Houston, Aberdeen, Dubai and Singapore.” Agility’s Ho Chi Minh office will remain the headquarters for Agility’s operations in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and will continue to offer a wide range of logistics services.
