Blue Dart Express Limited, South Asia’s number one express air and integrated transportation, distribution and logistics company, announced its annual financial results for the fourth quarter ended 31 December 2010. The company posted INR943.7 million (US$20.7 million) net profit on the back of an INR11.5 billion turnover for the full year while income from operations for the quarter ended 31 December 2010 was INR3.2 billion. “The 2010 results have been in sync with our outlined expectations for the year,” said Blue Dart Express managing director, Anil Khanna. “Going forward, we are committed to remain the ‘Express & Logistics Provider of Choice’ for Indian industries. While continuing to be the trade facilitators in the country, we shall continue our focus on addressing specific needs of the customers delivering customised solutions.” Blue Dart has robust plans for India, he added. During 2010, Blue Dart handled over 87 million domestic shipments, 740,000 million international shipments of documents and parcels across the nation and 220 countries worldwide. Blue Dart, part of the DHL Group, is India’s largest domestic express air and integrated transportation, distribution and logistics company, offering delivery of consignments to over 25,646 locations in India.
