Libya and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) have signed an agreement for the Association to open an office in Tripoli, the Libyan capital. The goal of the agreement is to promote air transport in Libya, facilitate financial and administrative arrangements and “introduce a system to regulate the accounts of air freight”. The agreement also makes it clear Libya will accept advice related to the air transport industry, as well as co-ordination of training and other activities.
