Hawaii’s largest inter-island air cargo carrier, Aloha Air Cargo, has bought two new Saab 340 aircraft scheduled to be put into service between April and June. The new turboprop aircraft represent a 15 per cent increase in the carrying capacity of Aloha Air’s fleet which is currently made up of four B737-200s. Each Saab aircraft has one-third the cargo capacity of a B737-200.
