Kuehne + Nagel increased airfreight tonnage by 29 per cent in the first nine months including a considerable increase in volumes and market share, especially in the trade lanes from and to Asia, it said. At the same time, the company benefited from its specialist service offerings tailored to specific industries including: Pharmaceuticals; high-tech; and perishables. Increased productivity and efficient cost management contributed to an improved EBITDA-to-gross profit margin by 30.5 per cent compared to the previous year’s 29.3 per cent.
