Xiamen Airlines has agreed to purchase 10 B737 series aircraft which the carrier plan to use for overall business expansion. By the end of 2010, Xiamen Airlines will have a fleet of over 70 B737s, with the number expected to reach 130 by 2015. Established in 1984, Xiamen Airlines is the first privately-owned airline in China and currently the company is owned by China Southern Airlines (60 per cent) and Xiamen Construction and Development Group (40 per cent).
