AirBridgeCargo (ABC) Airlines is adding a fourth route from China with a twice-weekly B747-400 freighter linking Zhengzhou to Europe. Flights from the capital of Henan Province depart from Zhengzhou International Airport destined for ABC’s hub in Moscow before continuing on to Frankfurt, Germany. AirBridgeCargo said it aims to increase frequencies to four B747F flights a week by the end of the year. Following development incentives from the Chinese government, Henan Province, the most populous in China, with more than 100 million population, is attracting investment from major export-oriented manufacturers. The air cargo link between Zhengzhou and Europe will also benefit the development of neighbouring cities, such as Wuhan, Chongqing, and Chengdu, according to ABC. The Russian carrier began flying to China in 2004 and now serves Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, as well as Zhengzhou.
